Working with schools and colleges


We partner with schools, colleges and the University Hospital Trust to connect young people with our research.

We are opening the doors to the next generation of scientists and doctors, inspiring and enabling young people to direct change for all and make healthy lifestyle choices.

The Faculty of Medicine o?ers work experience opportunities to students:
?    aged 14 or above
?    in the last two years of schooling or while studying for A level or equivalent quali?cations
?    considering science, medicine or allied health profession as a possible career

It is important to us to o?er work experience to students in an equitable, open and transparent way. We take our safeguarding and health and safety obligations seriously.

We also run the very popular LIVE virtual work experience, aimed at Year 12 students interested in studying Medicine.

The University's Learn with US (Outreach) programme provides a range of events and activities to engage and inspire learners who have the potential to enter higher education, but who may not currently be considering it.

LifeLab empowers children and young people to make positive lifestyle choices through science.
