Sam is pursuing a PhD in English. Their thesis focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and human creativity during the collaborative process of writing fiction. Their research explores how collaboration with AI can transform the creative process, shifting away from the question "Can AI be creative?" to "How can AI augment or shape human creativity?"
They are also the co-investigator on the project' Attitudes, aptitudes and applications of AI-enhanced assessment in Humanities curricula at 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载', which explores the possibilities and implementations of embedding AI into assessments within the School of Humanities, and developing AI-literacies more broadly among staff and students.
Recently, Sam contributed to the collaborative research project between the University of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 and the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, 'Building shared understanding of plants records as data using Kew Gardens' historic records'. Other projects Sam was involved in include 'Brining Heritage to Life: Reliving 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载's Medieval Past through Digital Storytelling,' which required writing and voicing speculative histories on and around 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 landmarks and artefacts.
