The existing air supply and extraction fans in the Nuffield Theatre were found to be inefficient and maintenance was becoming increasingly difficult. This project replaced the fans with upgraded high efficiency units. The new units featured more efficient motors, more efficient fan blades and controllable fan speeds.

This project resulted in an annual saving of 32,000kWh, ?3,500 and 17 tonnes/CO ₂ .
