Title: Exploring neutron star superconductivity by solving the Einstein-Maxwell equations

Abstract: Neutron stars (NSs) are believed to become superconducting a few years after formation. In contrast to laboratory superconductors, protons form Cooper pairs below a critical temperature, enabling superconductivity. The NS core is thought to be type-II superconductor. The questions are: is it completely superconducting, what is its type? Is there any observational evidence? By solving the Einstein-Maxwell equations, we map superconducting regions in rotating, magnetized, cooling NSs under various magnetic field strengths and configurations. 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 2D models show that low-mass NSs develop superconductivity in a wider region than heavier ones. Additionally, some magnetized NSs have non-superconducting donut-shaped regions. Onset of superconductivity indirectly affects continuous gravitational wave signals from millisecond pulsars (e.g., PSR J1843-1113), which future detectors could identify, providing insight into hidden magnetic fields in NSs and confirming the existence of buried magnetic fields.
