Discussion group meeting

For the last 10 years I have been working on different manifestations of accretion onto neutron stars and black holes that are part of binary systems. Particularly, I have concentrated my studies on the physics of accreting millisecond X-ray pulsars, thermonuclear X-ray bursts, quasi-periodic oscillations (most of them related to accretion processes). During this talk, I'll try to summarize the highlights of what I find most interesting and fascinating, with particular emphasis on Accretion at Eddington rates, which is the subject that I have been focusing on for the last year or so.
