University of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 is hosting a Conference in Honour of Fred Smith and Chris Skinner from 7-9 July 2021, which will take place on-line. Thanks to the generous donation of the Waksberg award prize money which Chris Skinner received before he passed away, we are able to make six awards of ?350 each to students of statistics, four of which are reserved for students from developing countries , to be used in support of travel, training courses or learning materials such as books.
Winners will also have an opportunity to make a short presentation on their research at the conference.
To be considered for one of these awards you will need to:
- write on one side of A4 why you should be considered for one of these awards, and what you propose to spend the money on
- write an abstract for your presentation
- send both these to fc2021 to arrive by 31 May 2021
We will judge the competition, and announce the results by 15 June. Winners will be expected to register for and attend the conference (there is no charge to attend as the conference is on-line).
