Current research
Alexander's current research looks at psychological concepts – concepts like belief, knowledge, awareness, and intention – as they function in the criminal law – e.g. in relation to negligence, consent, complicity, and self-defence). He is looking at how the role of these concepts in the criminal law can inform – and be informed by – discussions of them in epistemology and philosophy of mind and action.

Teaching

Biography
Prior to coming to 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载, Alexander was a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow at UCL, working on his project Belief in Philosophy and the Criminal Law. Before that, he held positions in 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载, Birkbeck, Oxford, and Gothenburg, and studied for his PhD in Philosophy at Cambridge.
