About

Dr. Lin Xu is an expert in fibre lasers and nonlinear optics, with a particular focus on Mode-locked lasers, Raman lasers, supercontinuum generation, and optical parametric oscillators. He received his Ph.D. in Laser Engineering from the Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (SIOM), Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, in 2012. Since 2013, he has been based at the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC), University of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载, UK. Currently an Associate Professor at the ORC, Dr. Xu leads research at the forefront of high-power pulsed fibre lasers and mid-infrared laser technologies, including optical parametric oscillators, Raman lasers, and supercontinuum sources. As a Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-Investigator (Co-I), he has successfully managed several research projects in recent years, with total funding exceeding ?8 million.

Dr. Xu serves as a Review Editor for Frontiers in Photonics and is a regular reviewer for leading international journals, including Laser & Photonics Reviews, Optica, Optics Letters, and the IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, among others. He is also a committee member of the Nonlinear Optics Technical Group of OPTICA.
