Biography
I am an Associate Professor in Geomechanics, a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and RAEng/HS2 Ltd Senior Research Fellow (2020-2025).
My ambition is to find the best way to assess, preserve and strengthen our transport, water and energy infrastructure, so that it is resilient to climate change and fit for purpose in the 21st Century.
I was a PI for the UKRI-funded ACHILLES Programme (2018-2024) to examine the weather-driven deterioration of infrastructure earthworks. I held a five-year RAEng Senior Research Fellowship, supported by HS2 Ltd (2020-2025) and a RAEng Industry Fellowship (2017-2018), supported by Network Rail.
