What to expect at a campus open day

Undergraduate campus open days are your chance to explore the University. Here, you'll find information about what to typically expect on the day.

Getting here

Let us know how you’ll be travelling to us when you book so we can send details on how to get here in your confirmation email. If you’re coming by car, we’ll allocate you a parking location and provide directions. Let us know if you need accessible parking when you book.

Once our pre-booked car parks are full, you'll be directed to city centre car parks. You can use the free Unilink shuttle buses to help you get between campuses, to car parks, and to 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 Central train station in the city centre. Show your open day programme or email confirmation to use the shuttle buses.

In-person open day events

Open days are a great way to see our campuses and get a feel for what it's like to study here. You'll have time to:

  • attend subject talks and chat about your options with our academics
  • tour our campuses and talk with students to hear what it's like to study here

  • learn about the support we offer

Subject talks and demonstrations

天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 academics will give subject talks, and current students will help showcase some of our workshops, labs and studios. Check the programme for details and times.

You'll get the chance to:

  • attend a subject talk and hear directly from our expert academics
  • explore the available study pathways and how you'll learn on the course
  • find out about career options available in your subject area
  • visit lab and studio demonstrations to give you a taste of hands-on learning
  • have an informal chat with our academic experts and ask any questions you have

Campus tours

These are a great opportunity to explore life on campus and the unique study spaces and facilities for your subject. You'll visit the libraries, study areas, labs and workshops as well as our sports facilities, food and drink cafés and social spaces. 

As well as our main Highfield campus, you may need to visit one of our specialist campuses for your subject of interest. Boldrewood and Avenue are both just a short walk away or you can use the shuttle buses to travel between campuses.
