For some disciplines, such as conducting and music therapy, we employ specialist staff who are leading practitioners in their fields.

Performance teaching is led by Professor David Owen Norris (Classical) and Dan Mar-Molinero (Jazz & Pop). They deliver and organise workshops and performance classes, working in close collaboration with our large team of instrumental and vocal coaches .

The administration team ensures the smooth running of the Music Department, providing invaluable support to students and staff alike.

Music is part of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities , which has a strong interdisciplinary ethos: staff members in English, Art, Film, History and Philosophy have expertise in music and sound.
