Staff at Levels 1-3 are entitled to Time off in lieu (TOIL) if they're asked to work overtime.? In certain circumstances the University may award enhanced payments to these staff for overtime, shift work and unsocial hours.
Staff at Level 4 and above are expected to work the hours necessary to perform their role and have no entitlement to TOIL or overtime.
Staff should refer to their contracts of employment to see what terms and conditions apply to their role.
