Fellow: Professor Brian Schmidt, The Research School of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Australian National University
Professor Schmidt was recently appointed Vice-Chancellor at ANU and will take up the position from January 2016.

Aims of the collaboration
- To conduct ongoing research into type 1a and high redshift superluminous supernova
- To enhance collaboration between the SkyMapper and PESSTO research projects in cosmology and dark energy, which are led by the Fellow and host respectively.
- To facilitate links to several major surveys and experiments, including the Dark Energy Survey (DES)
Fellowship activities in 2015
Professor Schmidt made his first Fellowship visit to the University of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 in June 2015.
He will be visiting again in November and activities will include giving the annual STAG public lecture
