AHRC Grant: Towns and the Cultural Economies of Recovery

Professor Nicky Marsh , Dr Will May and Visiting Professor Catherine Clarke have been awarded a 'Where Next' scoping grant from the AHRC. They will be working with NESTA, Historic England and the Centre for Towns thinktank. The project is called 'Towns and the Cultural Economies of Recovery: A New Multidisciplinary Mapping' and will examine the role that culture - its alternative currencies, skills and place-making practices - can play in developing Britain's 'left behind' towns.
