Research project:?A brief history of transport studies
This research was commissioned by the Universities' Transport Study Group (UTSG) and the Rees Jeffreys Road Fund. The key objective of this work is to outline the historical development of academic transport studies in the British Isles.The primary method has been an in-depth interviews of around 20 senior British academics conducted during the autumn of 2011. This has been supplemented by an analysis of papers submitted to the UTSG Annual Conferences.
