Storyline production process

Articulate Storyline production process

Storyline project can vary from very simple narrated slides through to full interactive content with embedded quizzes. When a request comes in for a Storyline project, a learning designer and a media developer are assigned the task to ensure that pedagogic needs are met and the course looks great and is usable.

At Project Scoping stage, we require the following basic information:

  • Where will the course be hosted, i.e. Blackboard, server, Edshare
  • Content of the course
  • Good quality photos and images to support the course
  • Any videos to embed on the course – will the videos need to be created
  • Does the course include questions/quizzes – will the grades need to be accessed by tutor
  • Will it have audio narration – if so this will need to be recorded first

Once all this have been established and signed off, a storyboard is created, this helps both customer and media team to visualise and communicate the look, feel and interactions of the finished product.

Throughout the process, the project is tested for bugs prior to uploading on to your Blackboard course or delivery of the published files.
