Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:

• Demonstrate the ability to take responsibility for your own lifelong learning, including consideration of risk assessment, access to variable resources, professional/legal requirements and professional multidisciplinary communication to achieve your activity.
• Analyse the evidence base appropriate to your identified development activity to justify your activity, developing specific self-directed learning objectives to support your learning.
• Reflect on and evaluate your learning from the activity and discuss the extent to which it has helped you meet the module aim, and how it will inform your future midwifery practice and personal and professional development.
• Demonstrate the achievement of your learning objectives and the dissemination of this to others.
• Evaluate your own learning style and needs to facilitate your development as a competent and compassionate midwife, and in partnership with the programme team identify and plan your engagement in an educational activity to meet these needs.
