The Procurement and Contract Management Team is pleased to share that the University’s new procurement policy and process are now live.

As part of the ongoing procurement transformation, updates include:??

  • A streamlined, purchaser-led process for low-risk, low-complexity procurements?
  • The implementation of a new ServiceNow procurement portal – a single point of access for raising and tracking procurement requests falling outside self-serve routes?

What this means for you if you purchase goods and services for the University.

If you’re a regular purchaser or submit requests occasionally, these changes are designed to:?

  • Empower and drive autonomy – you will be able to complete procurement activity with greater autonomy for low value, low complexity procurements ?
  • Reduce processing time – you will benefit from streamlined workflows for low-complexity, low-risk procurements?
  • Enhance visibility and collaborationthrough ServiceNow, you will be able to track requests and engage with the procurement team more easily on strategic, high risk and high value activities ?

In addition to the existing self-service catalogue, you can now use ServiceNow to initiate procurement requests that fall outside self-serve routes and track progress in real time. Budget holders will be automatically notified when approval is required, helping to keep things moving.
