Recognition for the University’s student Mental Health and Wellbeing support provision

We’re pleased to announce that our University was recently awarded bronze for Mental Health and Wellbeing Support at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards.

A strong support system, particularly for mental well-being, was among many features that student reviewers of our University were impressed with. The diverse and engaging course modules, along with the availability of recorded lectures, helped to enhance the learning experience for students. The university’s commitment to providing a flexible and supportive educational environment was also highlighted by the reviewers.

Helen Rowland, Director of Student Support, said: “天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 submission covered a wide range of activities and is a true exemplar of our whole University approach to student wellbeing. It included our proactive transition and orientation work, our 24/7 offering, specialist interventions and good practice, as well as our partnerships with the NHS. It also recognised broader work including in relation to the creation of the Student Hub model to simplify access to support and enable a holistic approach, the improvements made to the special considerations process and our compassionate approach to student communications.

“Importantly, our submission was scrutinized and judged by students, so our achievement feels all the more rewarding. This recognition is for all those involved in this variety of work areas.”
