All staff and PGRs are invited to this year’s Staff Party on Wednesday 9 July, 14:00-17:00 on Highfield Campus.?

The Staff Party is a special occasion at the end of the academic year; an opportunity to catch up with colleagues you may not have seen recently, and a great place to spend some time relaxing with those who you work with day to day, and celebrating what we achieve together. This year, we are also celebrating the remarkable achievement of the forthcoming opening of our UoS Delhi Campus.?

In response to feedback regarding long queues to collect food over the past three years, we are re-setting the focus of the event to maximise your time with colleagues and enable you to enjoy a range of entertainment and activities. The food selection this year is a choice of snack boxes including an option celebrating UoS Delhi.?

Please note that all attendees for this year’s event must register in advance and must pre-select snack box and drink choices. There will be no free refreshments for unregistered attendees. This is to minimise food wastage, in line with our sustainability goals, and ensure we cater for the correct number of people. Please note that registration will close 1 week before the event, also for this reason.?

The party will include:?

• Time to have fun with your colleagues
• A free snack box and free drink – with a choice of options to pre-order
• Live performances from our main stage – including special performances from Art Asia
• Crafting tent with Indian-inspired block printing
• Festival style face painting and henna artists
• Yoga taster sessions on the Jubilee’s new Yoga Lawn
• Climbing Wall Taster Sessions
• A relaxed crafts area for anyone who would benefit from a quieter, calmer environment
• An exhibition area hosted by The India Centre – find out more about our Delhi campus
• A fun inflatable Cricket Bowling challenge – get a team together or just turn up
• Opportunity to create your own floral head dress or mini-arrangement

This is an open event for all staff, but you must register using your @soton.ac.uk email address and select your snack box and drink choices.?

Collaboration:

We are delighted to welcome our friends from local organisation Art Asia (天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 Mela) to our very own mini festival – with a fusion of singers, dancers, musicians, crafts and activities all helping to celebrate this incredible achievement.?

We are also thrilled to be working with support from our colleagues in The India Centre, the REACH Network, Turner Sims and the Jubilee Sports Centre.?
