The BSF is Europe’s longest standing science festival, travelling to a different location in the United Kingdom each year, and will take place in 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 between the?16 – 20 September?next year. The Festival aims to showcase the transformative research and innovation taking place at the host University and the wider region, as well as maintaining the Festival’s role as a sector-leader in inclusive science engagement for adults who are under-represented in science.

It will comprise of approximately 100 free events, exhibitions, performances and installations that celebrate the people, stories and ideas at the heart of science. The programme is aimed at an adult audience with a broad interest in science, with a primary focus on the 16-to-34 age group, in particularly people who are not actively engaged with science.

Closed call/open call

As part of the return for hosting the British Science Festival in 2026, colleagues at the University of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 are able to propose content through a closed call (open June, closes September) – whereas all other calls for content are open to contributions from across the UK (and beyond). The closed call will still be competitive as it represents 20% of the programme (or 20 activities) but helps ensure a strong representation of the research and innovation at the University.
