The Sustainability and Resilience Institute (SRI) has led on the University of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 joining the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change as a member.

The Tyndall Centre is a partnership of universities bringing together researchers from the social and natural sciences and engineering to develop sustainable responses to climate change.

Working with the Tyndall Centre and its other university members, has multiple benefits for 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载, particularly around interdisciplinary research and the goals of our four Strategic Research Initiatives.

Earlier this month the SRI hosted a visit by Professor Robert Nicholls, Tyndall Director (and former UoS colleague) and Asher Minns, Tyndall Executive Director, to meet a number of colleagues and discuss research links, ways of working and the launch of Tyndall 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载.

Directors from our interdisciplinary research institutes; the Web Science Institute, the Institute for Life Sciences and 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载’s Marine and Maritime Institute, joined the visit as well as some Early Career Researchers (ECRs) and academics who were keen to hear more about the Tyndall network and the opportunities to engage.

SRI Director, Craig Hutton said: “Joining the Tyndall Centre will provide a wealth of opportunities to 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 researchers and academics in areas such as knowledge exchange, partnerships for research bids and policy engagement. The Tyndall Early Career Network offers networking, leadership and career development for our ECRs, and with the Tyndall focus on harnessing the benefits of climate change research for other social priorities, a broad range of disciplines across 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 will be able to engage.”

  • Invitation to Early Career Researchers to join and benefit from the Tyndall Early Career Network (TECN) and join the annual Tyndall Assembly, held in Manchester in September 2024.
