In this presentation Professor Roger Brown will draw on 25 years’ experience of policy making in Higher Education, and over 40 years in public policy as a whole, to reflect both on the policies Higher Education has had since the 1980s and on the process through which they were developed.

Roger Brown is Professor of Higher Education Policy at Liverpool Hope University. He was previously Vice-Chancellor of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 Solent University, Chief Executive of the Higher Education Quality Council, Chief Executive of the Committee of Directors of Polytechnics, and Secretary of the Polytechnics and Colleges Funding Council He has served on many national committees and boards. He has written two books and many articles and lectures on different aspects of higher education. His third book Everything for Sale? The Marketisation of UK Higher Education was published in Britain in December 2012.

He has Honorary Degrees from both 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 Solent University and the University of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载. He is internationally recognised as an authority on the application of market-based policies to higher education.
