The Royal Mail have again confirmed to us that the CWU (Communications Workers Union) intend to undertake strike action for 2 days. One of the days is this week Friday 6 Novemeber 2009 and the other is Monday 9 November 2009. This will again add to the already large backlog of mail to be processed by Royal Mail.

On the conclusion of this action there will be additional delays afterwards whilst Royal Mail try and clear the backlog. This is not a good time to post items which are urgent and anything of this nature should be sent by other means

The alternatives offered through the Post Room for urgent items are UPS and DHL both can be arranged by contacting the Post Room ext 22368.
