Why Reasonable Adjustments? – Seminar on 4 November

Launch of Guide on Reasonable Adjustments for Staff and students.

The Diversity Team invite you to a lunchtime seminar on Reasonable Adjustments on 4 November 2009? 12–2pm. Senate room? building 37. Lunch will be provided

Rick Williams from Freeney Williams (www.freeneywilliams.com) will be the key note speaker at this event:

Rick is the Managing Director of Freeney Williams Ltd which is one of the UK’s leading consultancies in the field of disability and diversity. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and an Associate of the Employers’ Forum on Disability. He is a highly experienced consultant and trainer with an exceptional level of expertise in all areas of disability issues and how they impact on organisations. Prior to working in the field of disability, Rick was employed at a senior level in the Health and Safety Executive and, before leaving in 2001, was the Regional Development Manager for the London and South East Region. These factors, combined with his visual impairment, give him an almost unique understanding of how organisations’ can become more disability confident.

Mary Siddall and Janet Skinner will also be presenting on issues for the university on reasonable adjustments.

Information will be available on the day on how Job Centre Plus can support the university on reasonable adjustments as well as copies of the new Guide on Reasonable Adjustments for the University.
