The Royal mail have confirmed to us that the CWU (Communications workers Union) have announced they will strike for 2 days of next week 22?and 23 October 2009. This will impact on mail being sent from and received into the University resulting in delays.

We anticipate it will be a few more days after the strike action before services are back to normal so would urge people who need to post urgent items of mail to avoid this period.

There are alternatives offered for urgent items in the form of UPS and DHL both can be arranged through the post room ext22368.
