Bus news

New term, new timetable

The new timetables for Uni–link are out now. You can pick up a copy at the Uni-link office or go on line at www.unilinkbus.co.uk?to see them. There are now additional services to Eastleigh on the U1 and also additional U6 evening services.

The new prices came in from the beginning of September and still represent excellent value for staff. An annual pass is ?275 and an academic pass is ?230 (valid until 30 June 2010).

Unfortunately? it’s not all good news. We’ve had to reduce the U9 frequency to two buses a day due to a lack of funding. The University and Tauntons College continue to subsidise this service.

Through ticketing

We’ve cut the price of bus travel. Staff and students can now benefit from a deal struck with Go South Coast on using both Uni–link and their services covering 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 and wider afield.

The 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 Freedom allows you to travel on Uni–link plus all Bluestar services up to the M27. This costs ?375 for the year and ?280 for the academic year.

The Network Freedom pass allows you to travel on Uni-link and the Go South coast network? covering Wilts & Dorset and Winchester buses. Ticket prices are ?450 and ?600? respectively.

Come along to the Uni-link office to find out more.

Back of the bus

You may have noticed the latest campaign to encourage you all to use the bus. We ran a competition to find?eight lucky winners who would adorn the back of the Uni-link single deckers. You can admire these on the back of the bus.

Au revoir

George Fair, Uni-link Operations Manager, has retired. He was instrumental in making Uni-link the success it is today and he will be missed but not forgotten. Paul Weller has now stepped up to be Operations Manager.
