The Active Community Grants is a scheme whereby University staff, University students, and local voluntary organisations can apply for funding to set up projects, which link the University, students and staff with the local community. The money comes from the Higher Education Active Community Fund. Since the grants began in 2003, over ?54,500 of funding has been awarded to 41 projects.

The Active Community Grants for 2009 are now open for applications! The deadline for applications is 20th February 2009.
