Notes:

  • Instrument time on our transmission and scanning electron microscopes, confocals, lightsheet, slide scanning, timelapse and CT systems is charged for in order to cover the costs of service contacts, repairs, upgrades, reagents and consumables.
  • For Grantholders, access charges should be costed into, and itemised on, all University of 天发娱乐棋牌_天发娱乐APP-官网|下载 grant applications at full economic cost. For current charges for access and services, and advice on including facility access in grant applications please contact Patricia Goggin .
  • After tuition, users are expected to drive our instruments for themselves. Microscope tuition is not charged for and help and advice are always freely available.
  • Sample processing charges only apply if this is carried out by BIU staff on behalf of users. A charge is not usually made for users who process their own material. After tuition, students will be expected to do all of their own processing and cutting and therefore will not be charged for this.
  • We operate an online booking system for all of our equipment (only available within the UoS domain). Please contact Dave Johnston to be added to the relevant user groups for equipment you have been trained to used.
