Dr Stephanie Blankshein is a maritime / landscape archaeologist and heritage scientist specialising in digital and computational approaches to archaeological and environmental research. Her work utilises innovative methodologies to investigate heritage across coastal, inland and underwater environments, such as recording a Neolithic crannog using combined aerial and underwater photogrammetry or identifying all inland waterbodies in the Outer Hebrides through machine learning.
She contributes to research-led teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, with particular focus on archaeological field methods and scientific diving.
