| 2.1 | The University standard Module Pass Mark for undergraduate students taking Modules at all levels is 40. Where professional standards, including but not limited to PSRB requirements, require a Module Pass Mark that differs from the University standard this will be stated in the relevant programme regulations. | For students transferring to Part 2 of UK programmes at WSA the Module Pass Mark for ARTD1135 Academic English for Art & Design is 50. Additionally, a mark of 50 or above is required in each sub-component.

| 3.5 | A student who does not Pass has a right to Refer if eligible according to the Referral criteria laid out in paragraphs 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 and section 6 below. A student not eligible to Refer has a right to Repeat as laid out in sections 5 and 6 below. | A student who would normally be required to Repeat because of failure in a module or element of assessment that is Core to the programme learning outcomes will be permitted to progress to the next Part of the programme but will be required to undertake further assessment (up to 60 ECTS (120 CATS) credits during that next Part of the programme. Existing University Regulation Transfer, Pause-in-Study, Withdrawal and Termination regulations | ||
| 3.0 | In determining the duration of any pause in study and the most appropriate time for the student to return to study, due account will be taken of the structure of the programme as well as the student's needs. Where a pause in study is agreed for medical reasons, Faculties may require a student to provide medical certification of fitness to return to study or to attend a Fitness to Practise Panel before allowing re-enrolment to occur. Students may apply to extend a period of pause of study for further periods of up to twelve months at a time; however, pauses in study covering periods greater than twenty four (24) months continuously will normally be granted only under the most exceptional circumstances. Students unable or unwilling to return to study after a pause in study of twenty four (24) months may be recommended for termination of study. | The period of pause in study allowable within a student’s registration period will be limited to a maximum of 24 months, in total, across all Parts of the programme. |
